Grief Recovery

I am a do-er.  I know how to get things done.  In the days and weeks following my late husband’s death, I filled the empty space with all the things on my never-ending to do list.  It took an incredible amount of self-reflection, experimentation and some wrong turns but over time, I created an action oriented approach to my grief recovery.

My regret was that I felt I lost years as a I fumbled my way through trying to figure out how to get back to living.  The first major decision to set me on my right path was to write my story with the hope that by sharing my journey, others might not feel so alone when facing loss in their life.

Through the process of writing, I was able to identify in a much more conscious manner the intuitive process I created that led me through my recovery.  I developed a grief recovery/life transitions model that has become the basis for my work with clients who have moved past bereavement and are at a place of being ready to re-create their lives.

I am committed to living in and co-creating a world where those experiencing loss and major transitions move through the process with greater ease losing less time to grief, confusion and fear.  Instead, through the modality of coaching, clients focus their energy on recreating what’s next for themselves.  Clients are able to honor the past and what has been lost while creating opportunity even out of the most challenging times.

I understand from first hand experience through the loss of my mother and my husband what it is to face that blank slate or black hole grief can create.  A significant piece we tackle in the early stages of working through the cbt Loss Transformation Model involves a process of generating inventories ~ the daily external life inventory and the interior emotional landscape inventory © 2009 ~ coaching by tambre.

Working together through the different phases of the model, clients gain clarity and insight into how to identify their gifts and the ways they can bringing meaning again to their own life and the lives of others.  Each person’s journey through grief recovery is unique and needs to be client-centered.  The grief recovery coaching paradigm is designed to support clients in getting un-stuck, giving themselves permission to move toward finding self-defined happiness, peace and purpose beyond loss.

    Hi Tambre,
    How are you?
I am sure we have seen each other at one of Tenia’s dance venues. I wish I had been at Las Brisas on Saturday, but I had another commitment. I would love to talk with you as I do similiar work. I would like to give you one of my books.
