I am so glad Jean found her help. This is the hardest thing to find for small businesses (and, even for some larger ones). Many of the large consultants have no concept that their “lower” rates are beyond the means of a nascent entity, nor do they understand the problems inherent in such an undertaking.
The key is to find the right assistance for those areas the developer/inventor/entrepreneur does not possess- and then grow and prosper.

My step-father had problems with burns from radiation; my mom felt so bad for him — we all did. Most products are developed because of a personal need or desire; this is just another instance. I’m sad that Jean went through what she has, but glad she found a way to help herself and others through the effects of treatment.

My last interaction with him was when I stopped by to visit and re-introduce him to my daughter, who he delivered back in December of 2010. I wanted to thank him for helping us through my rough start with my pregnancy. He was a special man, without a doubt. He is a legend at Cedar Sinai, as I came to learn. His warmth, confidence and calm have a way of permeating the room and my delivery was as smooth, peaceful and beautiful as one can expect. My family will never forget him.
