I think we need to step back and reconsider.
The dislike was not of or to your story- or of or to Martina McBride.
Rather, it was a dislike of the fact, that despite the “War on Cancer” decried by Richard Nixon (sorry for the curse) 40 years ago (!), we have not won- nor have we evened the odds. Just like we dislike the continual, ongoing, slog in Afghanistan that is a decade old already…
Readers were positing their dislike of the length of time and the boatloads of cash spent with no seeming riptide of success.
    To success!
And, in the meantime, to the little and big wins…

I have gotten some thumbs down on a couple of my youtube videos. Not sure why, but I just remove them. I figure if they are not going to leave a comment as to why the video was disliked, then I can remove it. I have gotten some negative comments on some of my videos and that actually helps me to learn what others are looking for.

Why what others do can drive you bonkers. I enjoyed the video Tambre and so did so many others – that is what counts :)

I fully agree with your comment to Roy and with Lynn, Tambre! There should be a way to connect the dislike to a user, so we can monitor and dislikes should ultimately be accompanied by explanations. I suspect that these random dislikes were spam!

The video was beautifully touching, by the way!
