That’s the key point that we (no, I am not excluding myself) all seem to forget. We always have the power (one that we don’t always exercise) to react to given circumstances- how we do so is what truly defines us.

    Hi Tambre,

Love that quote. Our attitude is certainly the key to making our lives full of life. I have had situations, as many have I”m sure, that felt unbearable. A long time ago a mentor of mine said this very thing. Start today, where you are and step up to do what you can do. More doors will open after that.
Thank you for the reminder. :)

My first secret of powerful self-transformation is to just “be” because that’s where you need to be right now. Choosing to be or have an attitude of positive, only strengthens you. Love it!

It is the only place one can start but rarely do we start there, And from my experience it is often because of the medical profession and how they handle the situation. When a surgeon says you will die without the op he wants you to have or with breast small lump the implication is you are going to die when it turns out to be benign but forever you are labelled as a cancer survivor.

Yes, we choose our reactions to the circumstances of life. When life is overwhelming, we can start where we are and take small steps forward. I love the Victor Frankl quotation.

You bring up several good points: stay out of your own way and move forward. Both skills are hard to acquire but can make the difference between succeeding, failing, and not even trying. You’re right that there are some things we just can’t control, but there are many other things we can. I love the Frankl quote. I’m going to print it and post it in my home office. Great post.
